The Interstate System turned 70 this summer, and FHWA put it on a sign. I passed it a few times on a drive from Maryland to Ohio.

The beta needs drivers
The app records a drive and fills in the map. Before Google Play will release it, it needs testers on roads I haven’t driven.
What ships inside the app
The whole Interstate network travels with the app — 226 routes, 49,106 miles by route measure — which is why a drive through a dead zone still fills in the map.
